PlayStation2 – playable Game Boy Advance emulator added …while these offer varying degrees of playable content with frameskipping enabled via core options:įor the best results, we recommend applying a per-application CPU overclock for the RetroArch application: highlight RetroArch on the device’s home screen, press the select button > Edit RetroArch, and set Clock Frequency to 420 MHz (depending on the chip, a lower value may be required, or even higher may work correctly).

The following generally run at full speed: Given the limited specifications of the hardware, a modest section of cores are available.
#RETROARCH GPSP DRIVER#
RetroArch should also have a bitmap font driver implemented now instead of relying on gsKit like before. gpSP (Game Boy Advance emulator core) has been optimized and tuned for PS2 to the point where it should run most games at fullspeed. To us, it is yet another opportunity to optimize our cores for low-end devices. These are low-powered mass-produced MIPS handheld devices that are sold for very cheap. Release notesĪ brand new platform port has been added for RetroMini RS-90 (and similar devices). For now, these still point to the previous version (1.9.6).

The next version of Lakka (with an updated RetroArch 1.9.7 version) is scheduled to be released a week from today. In my short check, lr-mGBA failed to load the achievements list, so maybe it calculates the rom checksum differently or something.

If you don't have that emulator core installed, you can install it from the setup scripts.Ĭastlevania: Harmony of Dissonance (Game Boy Advance) I'll double check my configs here in a minute for you guys and report back.ĮDIT: Okay, I use lr-vba-next 1.0.2 on RetroArch 1.3.6, again as part of RetroPie 4.0 RC1
#RETROARCH GPSP ANDROID#
Part of the "big picture" benefits of LibRetro is that it SHOULD work the same across platforms, so I don't think it would be a platform issue, although I haven't had much luck with it on Android (it's a bit harder to set up, but I don't have much Android experience). Run the updater script on your RetroPie if you haven't, but be warned in advance that it might wipe some of the customizations in your retroarch.cfg file.Įven that is a little out of date, for example, the PC Engine - TurboGrafx cores both seem to work with RA, even though that's unlisted. I use LibRetro / RetroArch on RetroPie 4.0 RC1, RetroArch 1.3.6
